Veatris is a browser-based arcade game. We collect a minimal amount of information, primarily to operate the global ranking feature and to understand how players use the game.

• Ranking data: When you submit a score, we store the nickname you enter, the country flag you select, your score, and the stage reached. Nicknames are optional and default to "Anonymous". We do not ask for your real name, email, or any personally identifying information.
• Local storage: Your last-used country selection and a local copy of scores are stored in your browser via localStorage. This data stays on your device.
• Usage analytics: We use third-party tools to measure traffic and understand gameplay behavior (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Information

• To display global and country-based rankings.
• To analyze gameplay patterns and improve game balance and features.
• To measure website traffic and performance.

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Microsoft Clarity - session analytics and heatmaps to understand how players interact with the game. See the Microsoft privacy statement.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. Microsoft Clarity may use cookies and similar technologies to distinguish sessions and record interactions. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Advertising

We may display advertising in the future. If third-party advertising services are used, they may set cookies or use identifiers to serve relevant ads. This policy will be updated with details before any advertising is enabled.

6. Children's Privacy

Veatris is a general-audience game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect real names, emails, or contact details, no personally identifying information is gathered from any user.

7. Data Retention

Ranking entries are retained to keep the leaderboard functional. Local storage data remains until you clear your browser data.
